Fur Kids available for adoption

Saving one dog may not change the world, but for that one dog the world has changed forever!"

Remember, adopting from a rescue is still saving a life.
It makes room at the rescue for a dog that
is urgent.

Adoption application and review the Adoption Agreement

Ozark Dogs Rescue only adopts to companion homes where the dog will have inside privileges.  A 5' fence is usually required but there are exceptions.  Adoption Donations vary and may be flexible.  Our primary goal is to get the very best home and the very best match for each dog.

PLEASE TAKE
MY DOG
I get many emails and calls from individuals asking me to take their Pyrenees (or other dogs).  Yes, I usually do have room. I will love the dog you can no longer keep or want.  I will find it a wonderful home that will keep it forever (or should circumstances change, take it back).  I will feed it, keep it on preventatives, have it vet checked, train it, let it live inside the house with the rest of the dogs, treat it like family and love it forever.  And yes, for that I will ask a small adoption donation when the right home comes along.

However for me to consider taking your dog, you must DO YOUR PART.   I cannot afford to do all the things some of you neglected to do, like spay her, get her shots and test her for heartworm (and possibly treat her for heartworms because someone neglected to give her the monthly preventative).  I don't feel I am being unreasonable to ask you to do your part, so please don't think I'm "in it for the money".  A good rescue never 'makes money' on a dog.  Only breeders and puppy mills do that.

A rescue facilitates a happy new beginning for each dog it takes in, no matter the cost, but the more we spend on your dog, the less we can afford to save.

I will assist with adoptions for those who live out of area but find a dog in my area that needs pulled from a shelter or needs some transportation.

I will also post dogs on my site and petfinder for individuals who need to re-home their dog provided the dog / puppy has been spayed/neutered and current on shots.
Please read the requirements.
There is no charge to either party by Ozarkdogs for listing the dog.

Unable to rescue, Gretel lived on a chain, in a log, with no one to love her.  She has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

We are retired, using our retirement money to rescue, feed and cover the vet expenses of the dogs we take in.  As with almost all rescues, we put way more money into a dog then the adoption amount we ask.  This is one of the reasons why our number of dogs available for adoption is small.  All donations go towards vet care of the dogs awaiting forever homes.   The dogs thank you and we thank you for any size donation.

with your credit card through PayPal to help pay veterinary care costs.

Or donations may be mailed to:
